Organization Overview: "A Doorway to a Brighter Future for Girls and Women in Detroit" Mercy Education Project’s educational programs (adult literacy, GED preparation, employability skills training, youth tutoring, and summer enrichment) improve the lives of low-income girls and women. We achieve measurable success in improving academic outcomes for girls and women who have experienced educational failure and in addressing other life obstacles they face. As a result, the girls and women we serve become stronger, confident, more hopeful and better equipped for success in school and in life.
