Organization Overview: Durga Temple started its pious journey in September 26, 2006 through the generosity & dedicated work of the Hindu Community living in Hamtramck, Greater Detroit, Windsor and neighboring states. Using small yet recurring donations of many members and generous donations of few philanthropists, this devoted community bought a building through a land contract. You’re Mandir, which used to be a Romanian Orthodox Church, has temple altar, dining area, performance stage & hall, and recently upgraded kitchen and restrooms.
