Organization Overview: The Islamic Center of Mount Pleasant (ICMP) is the only Islamic center in central and north Michigan State. The center was established in the 1980s by a group of Muslim students under the umbrella of the Muslim Student Association (MSA).
The ICMP conducts various religious, educational and social activities on a continuous basis throughout the year, such as daily and weekly prayers, dinners and BBQs, Arabic and Islamic lessons, and recreational sport matches.
The ICMP and MSA's two main goals are to bring the Muslim community closer together and educate the non-Muslims about Islam. They also strive to create harmony between all religions and faiths, and establish a strong sense of community between the residents of Mount Pleasant.
The center is open for all Muslim and non-Muslim community members, and welcomes all the students of CMU and the visitors of the town too.

Organization Overview: The Islamic Cultural Association was founded by a group of families who hoped to establish an Islamic community that modeled their beliefs and values. In 1987, the community purchased the Franklin Building and moved to its present location. Two years later, it established the prestigious Huda School which has flourished over the years, alhamdulilah. The ICA created a weekend Arabic School, Dar-al Huda. The ICA has continued to grow and expand, offering its members an Islamic environment where they can feel at home and raise their children with hearts at ease. Since its inception, the ICA has held various school and family functions for the occasions that matter most to its members—such as Ramadan and Eid—as well as exciting activities for the whole family. It has also prided itself in offering weekly Islamic and educational lectures and maintaining a youth program that has been going strong for years, Alhamdulilah. The ICA hopes to continue to expand by offering more services that the community can benefit from.
The ICA is always looking to expand and improve, while building on its already strong foundation. We hope to add to our growing list of services and events and to continue improving our youth and education programs. Please feel free to send in any comments or suggestions you may have. Metropolitan Detroit has been home to Muslim Americans for over a century. Immigration, con-version and second- third generations of Muslims have grown in numbers rapidly to a large community of over 50,000 people.
The city of Warren, Michigan has become one most of diverse Muslim communities in Michigan within the last decade. On the other hand it is becoming a challenge for the Muslim community to provide adequate facilities for future generations. Not having the proper space may also contribute to Muslim youth to look for different path. Ultimately this may lead to destroy our future generations. That kind of loss can never be recovered.
Islamic center of Warren founded to assist Muslims to become a better Muslim through educational, religious, socio-economic, and cultural services to develop moral community citizens.
May Allah help us to provide the proper space with the Islamic Center of Warren to: Facilitate Muslims to learn and lead his or her life ac-cording to Islamic teaching based on the Qur'an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and to promote the true practices of Islam to the community.
